"Your Original Face Smiling Upon Itself" is a piece I created while reading a lot into metaphysics, particularly the writings of Ken Wilber. The title refers to his description of the fabric of reality as one's own source of being recognizing itself and smiling contently. Knowledge of the function and appearance of the human pineal gland will provide a clue as to the significance of the imagery presented.
